SUMMARY

  The aim of this paper is to reflect on the evolution of the study of the sexuality in the elderly. This issue, previously ignored, has obtained a high interest in the scientist community. Nevertheless, the core of the research has been focused in the frequency of the sexual act and the erectile capacity of the subject, overlooking other aspects of the sex among old people.
