SUMMARY

  The boarding of the sexuality on the part of the attending physician optimizes the integral treatment of the patient. This will result in a diminution of the welfare load to mean-long term and in greater professional satisfaction. At the moment, in the Familiar and Communitarian Medicine specialty in Spain 60% of the doctors are women and the expectation is that it arrives at 90%. When the women physicians in front of are a patient man, she must overcome the traditional masculine resistance to trust a woman like professional. Although this disadvantage is being saved progressively, to speak of sex and sexual health with the patient supposes a step in the one more than still there is important resistance. Also the medical professionals must surpass their own fears and prejudices and increase the knowledge in Sexuality.
