Sexual aversion disorder

SUMMARY

A 24-year-old woman goes to consultation of sexology advised by a psychiatrist. She undergoes crises of severe anxiety in sexual situations with phobia to the visualization or the contact of a penis. At the age of 11 she suffered sexual abuses.

Diagnostic: sexual aversion disorder. A psychological (facing of the trauma, relaxation, systematic desensitization and sensitization exercises) and pharmacological (anxiolytics: alprazolam and antidepressants: paroxetine) intervention was carried out. The evolution is slow but favorable.
