The differential profile of the patients with erectile dysfunction in Primary Health Care, it conditions our assistance attitude

SUMMARY
Objective: To determine the profile of the patients taken care of due to erectile dysfunctión (ED) in a consultation of Primary Care.
Methodology: Cross-sectional study on the erectile function determined by the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) and quality of life through the validated questionnaire Lisat-8, of 309 patients who went to consultation by ED.
Results and conclusions: The patients of group I, with well-known pathology, have an average age of 55.8 years, with a moderate profile of unhealthful habits, an intermediate time of evolution and severity of ED, a poor quality of life and have worse prognosis. Those in group II are younger, have worse healthful habits, less time of evolution and greater severity of ED,with regular quality of life and good prognosis. Finally, group III presents/displays greater age, less toxic habits, greater time of evolution of ED and intermediate severity, relatively good quality of life and regular prognosis.
