Cosmetic qualities of an arginine gel for the relief of vaginal dryness in menopausal women

SUMMARY

Objective: To evaluate the cosmetic qualities of an arginine gel for the relief of menopausal vaginal dryness and dyspareunia.

Methodology: A consumer Survey was carried out through a questionnaire completed at the end of the study. Patients were interrogated about ease of use, product presentation and physical characteristics.

Results and conclusions: Most of them gave a high valuation to these variables. More than a half of the patients found the product to be useful in the promotion and maintenance of lubrication during sexual intercourse, which could be translated as sexual arousal improvement. The development of new therapies as an alternative to hormonal replacement therapy contributes not only to the relief of symptoms, but also to an improved quality of life.
