A. Casaubón Alcaraz, O. Gómez Llorens, C. Sanmartín Blanco, M.A. Cueto Baños

SUMMARY

The paper presents a thirty-four-year old patient with a long history of visits to mental health professionals, with exhibitionism pathology and chronic psychopathology. He recognizes a bad relationship with females, including his wife and his mother, and verbalizes a feeling of having received abuse by women and he acknowledges having desire to damage them and to do it through his exhibitionism behaviour. The patient shows personal characteristics as: sexual immaturity, scarce social skills, anxious feature of personality and very ingrained aggressiveness and violence.

The patient follows pharmacological treatment (prescribed by his psychiatrist); a therapeutic intervention tending to overcome the initial pathology is being carried out. This intervention is developed at several levels: personal/sexual/family/social.

The patient’s initial evolution is good, until after a dispute with his wife, he abandones the therapy.
