Socio-sanitary care: a challenge for the nursing management

SUMMARY

  Over the last years, in the more developed countries, a number of political, social and economic events are taking place and they are strongly modifying health demands among population.

  Thus, it emerges the need to develop new Models of Care that offer an answer to these new demands. Among these new models, is socio-sanitary care in which the content of this work takes place.

  In this paper, the general aspects that represent the Model of Socio-sanitary Care are described here, as well as a clinical case for its implementation in a conventional Health Centre, showing the implications, opportunities and challenges in nursing management
.
