SUMMARY

In gerontological centres, the main welfare responsability falls on nursing auxiliaries, profesionals with little training in the new welfare challenges like dependency or dementia in these centres.

This situation normally results in cares with a quality that can be improvable and in a high anxiety level in caregivers. We think that cares can be improved and anxiety can be relieved thanks to education, through it we train caregiver for a suitable quality help and provide the keys for the emotional management of the care.

KEY WORDS

Caregivers, Alzheimer's disease, anxiety, education.
