SUMMARY
The central topic of
our study is to analyze the profile psicosocial of those bigger
than a sample of Valladolid for this way to see that type of help
so much from the psychological point of view as social are necessary
so that insofar as possible this community so numerous and representative
of our society can reach the biggest possible well-being. The interviewed
grown-ups have provided a very interesting information on their
state of health that contrarily to what could seem in principle
more than half of those interviewed he/she affirms to be very well
or quite well of health. Although it is significantly bigger the
number of institutionalized adults that they have problems of health.
Also more than half of the adults they affirm not to need help for
the realization of the activities of the daily life, needing more
help institutionalized people. The family relationships in most
of the interviewed adults are good not being significant differences
between the family relationships and the institucionalization. Almost
half of the biggest interviewees they have not studied studies,
and if they have made it it is primary studies only a very small
percentage had studied superior studies. But the most significant
thing and preocupant are mainly the high percentage of opposing
illiteracy in our sample in bigger than 80 years what indicates
that the cultural level goes increasing in the youngest. The main
fear that the adults show is the illness followed by the solitude
and the idea of being a load for the other ones and it is also important
to know that they have a considerable percentage that he/she doesn't
fear anything. We also observe in our sample like when arriving
to mature ages the scale of values it is usually changed finding
a sense different to the existence. More than half of the interviewed
adults they consider that they live for will of God being this higher
percentage in institutionalized people. Their main problem is also
the solitude and not to be able to make family life, followed by
the health. The adult's great demand is the family welcome; the
desire of more than half of the adults it would be to be able to
live with its family in the last years of its life. The rest of
the problems, as the economic one, the age, they pass to a second
plane. All these results obtained in our work are useful to know
the necessities, concerns and real and high-priority problems of
the adults in our County.
